Val joined our team in 2007, after spending 14 years as the barn manager for a large Warmblood breeding operation and dressage training stable. She is a graduate of Oregon State University  where she earned a BS in biology and also kept busy as a herdsman and riding instructor for the OSU Horse center. 

Val’s love of horses started early, as she grew up on a large farm in Molalla where her mother raised Arabians. She had her first pony at the age of 3, and was active in 4H throughout grade school and high school. Now a dressage enthusiast, Val has competed successfully through 3rd level, with both ODS and USDF regional championships to her credit. She has raised several of her own foals and has a soft spot for senior equines as well. Val currently lives in Molalla with numerous horses, dogs, and cats!
